This is what that process actually looks like.

Where the idea begins



Sometimes it’s as simple as “I love this character.” or “I’ve always wanted photos that feel like this.”

Nothing fully planned, just the beginning of something you want to bring to life.

Where it starts to take shape


That idea doesn’t have to stay in your head.

We start talking through it, what it could look like, how it could feel, what pieces would bring it to life. Sometimes it’s outfits. Sometimes it’s props. Sometimes it’s just finding the right place and letting everything else fall into place around it.


If you don’t have a specific idea yet but still want something creative, I also keep a collection of concepts I’m currently building, sessions you can step into and make your own.

Things like fairytale-inspired scenes, more editorial looks, or story-driven setups that are already taking shape.

The idea you keep coming back to


Maybe it’s something you’ve had for a while.

A ren fair dress hanging in the back of your closet, a cosplay you put so much time into, a piece you loved but never really got to live in the way you imagined. Or maybe it’s not even that defined yet, just a vibe you’ve saved over and over again, a character you’re drawn to, a story you wish you could step into for a moment.

Those ideas don’t have to stay ideas.

Turning it into something real



And then at some point, you decide to actually do something with it. Not perfectly planned, not fully figured out,  just enough to say, “let’s try it.” That’s usually how these start. We take what you already have, add what’s needed, and let it build from there until it feels like something you can step into instead of just imagine.

Then you’re in it



You reach out with the idea. sometimes it’s fully formed. sometimes it’s just “I don’t know exactly what I want, but I love this.”

and that’s enough. We talk through it, what you’re drawn to, what you already have, what would make it feel complete.

Outfits, props, location… all the pieces that take it out of your head and turn it into something real.

Nothing has to be perfect going in. That’s what the process is for and what I love to help create!
